What does Ranger Alli actually do?
CAMPGROUND SUPPORT: Ranger Alli, through strategic partnerships is able to work campgrounds and other outdoor recreation/adventure small businesses as a business consultant focusing on strategic planning, operational guidance, organization assessments, and general administrative/budgeting services. Whether it is time for a new strategic plan, need an unbiased facilitator for an upcoming gathering, or are looking for a unique solution to (what seems like) an unsolvable problem, Ranger Alli can probably provide or at least help connect you with the right folks to provide, those services.
EVENT PLANNNING AND MANAGEMENT: Having a your annual member meeting? Or planning your first annual wine tasting? Maybe it's your organization's newest fundraiser? Ranger has the recipe to make sure you are the hostess with the mostest! Rapid turnaround time? World's smallest budget? Where there's a will there's a way and if you rub two pennies together hard enough you will eventually get a dime. Ranger Alli is well experienced in the financial realities of many small businesses and nonprofits, while also having years of expereince working with large national and international groups with few budgetary restraints. Whatever the situation, let's make your event is the best of the season.
NONPROFIT START-UPS AND BOARD DEVELOPMENT: Starting a new nonprofit can seem like a daunting task! Making sure you are adhering to all of your state specific and federal laws, in addition to making sure you meet the standards and expectations of the IRS is no easy task! This is where Ranger Alli shines! Let him work with you from filing your articles of incorporation, developing your board orientation, and ensuring your board leadership is well equiped for your immediate needs and longterm strategy. On the homepage of our website and periodically shared on the Ranger Alli Facebook Page, upcoming events and activities, relevant resources, job posting, campers, and campgrounds for sale. Any campground that shares similair values is invited to submit.
Once a month we put together a cute little newsletter for anyone who may be interested in receiving it. Each episode we highlight a campground and a recent story or two we heard from the Gay Camping Grapevine. Anyone can submit a story. We love to highlight hard workers, dedicated volunteers, and other experiences that make us go, "WOW!"
The Association for Gay Camp and Park Rangers was recently formed to provide essential networking, training, and career advancement opportunities to queer rangers everywhere. AGCAP Rangers recognizes that being ranger is not about your title, but about the nature of your responsibilities to a campground and/or park. If you spend your days preseserving green space, ensuring visitors enjoy their experience outdoors, and diligently protecting queer space, you're one of us.
