Q: Wait, so is Ranger Alli part to Twin Ponds? Is he a real person? What is a "Ranger Alli"?
A: Ranger Alli is a character played by Alli Knapp. Alli works at Twin Ponds Lodge and for TPL Social Club. On the macro, Ranger Alli is a nonprofit organization (501c3 pending) focused on getting folks outside to party! Ranger Alli the nonprofit organization is brand new, and just getting it's feet wet. It is working with two campgrounds right now other than TPL and TPL Social Club. Because of the strong connection between TPL and Ranger Alli, and the nature of most of the work Ranger Alli does for TPL, many of TPL's events are highlighted on this website. Some events/activities/fundraisers are solely Ranger Alli. In the future, if Ranger Alli is contracted to plan events for other campgrounds, they too will be highlighted here.
Q: Does all the money you raise really go directly to TPL Social Club's events and activities?
A: If it says it does, it does. Alli's Allies supports Ranger Alli, as does the Roast coming this fall. TPL Social Club and Ranger Alli are uniquely positioned to support each others' missions and Ranger Alli wants the events and activities to be successful, Ranger Alli is voluntarily donating 96% of the profits from the Ranger Alli Merch Store to that programing. If you ever have any questions about what funding streams are going where, feel free to email campranger@rangeralli.com.
Q: Can I volunteer?
A: Yes. There is always ways to help and/or support the work of Ranger Alli and/or TPL Social Club. Fill out the contact form and we'll be glad to connect you to upcoming opportunities.
Q: The afterparties say unsanctioned and unofficial, does that mean that they are really parties everyone at TPL can go to?
A: Just like last year, the afterparties hosted by Ranger Alli are not official activities or events of Twin Ponds Lodge. They are Ranger Alli inviting everyone over for a late night campfire, drinks, and music. The parties are debaucherously wild and everyone is impressed if Alli stays past midnight.
Q: If I donate, is it tax deductible?
A: No, not yet. SOON! Ranger Alli's status as a 501(c)3 is pending. As soon as that goes through, donations will be tax deductible. Which is part of Ranger Alli's strategy to getting more people outside partying. Once the organization is designated a 501(c)3, we will work with campgrounds who are looking to do qualifying events/fundraisers to act a fiduciary - lending them our official tax status.
Q: What is gonna happen to the yurt?
A: The Ranger Station will still be Ranger Alli's party spot, but this year she may remain barren. We are working with Tommy and Roberto to determine the best use for the platform and courtyard. While Ranger Alli stands by the idea of investing $35,000 into a pavilion with stage, small tenter kitchen, dance floor, dining area, and Ranger Office - the boys aren't too keen on the idea. So if you or anyone you know wants to casually give Ranger Alli $35,000 for this, please reach out.
Q: What's with the raccoons?
A: If you don't understand the trash panda correlation to Ranger Alli, you are not eligible to be a Raccoon Ranger and it would violate the oath of secrecy for me to tell you.
I know this may be a surprise, but Ranger Alli is also the Bar Manager at Twin Ponds Lodge! *GASP* This means for some of our bigger event weekends Alli needs someone to fill in. That's why we're looking for known bar tenders from within the Gay Community to help fill in.
What are we looking for?
Primarily we are looking for three things:
What's the pay?
This an independent contract (W-9) position. Meaning you are responsible for your own taxes and will be paid a set rate per night you are behind the bar. In addition, we will throw in some perks and benefits like an electric tent site with a glamping set-up second to none (Ranger Alli will provide and set this up for you before you event arrive). All tips from your time behind the bar. And of course, access to all of the amenities that the lodge has to offer, when you're not expected behind the bar. There's more! But that's the gist.
Birds are not real. They are cameras controlled by the government to spy on the people. Covid was a way to keep us in our houses while they changed the batteries in the birds. Stay woke friends and #trustnobird
